OLA's Alternative Gift Christmas Market continues until Dec. 22

Here's the Christ-centered alternative to mall madness... Begin your holidays in the true spirit of Christmas with the Alternative Gift Christmas Market Sunday, Nov. 23, from 8 a.m .to 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Look carefully at the “shopping list” of items needed by the poor around the world and in our own backyard. Mark your choices and receive a beautiful Christmas card for each "gift" to present to relatives and friends. It’s easy! Representatives from local, national and international programs will be on hand to answer questions and tell you how your gift will make a difference in the lives of real people. Or come to the parish office now through Dec. 22. More...

We are home to one of the leading K-8 schools in the Los Angeles Archdiocese, as well as thriving Vietnamese and Spanish-speaking faith communities of more than 700 families each. We invite you to visit us, worship with us, and join us as we strive to live out our commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Questions? Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Turkey and all the trimmings will be served for anyone who is alone or without family to help celebrate Thanksgiving on Nov. 27. Since this is a community meal, there will be no cost to guests. All that is asked is that guests provide their names so that sufficient food may be prepared. The dinner will be hosted at noon in the auditorium by a dedicated cadre of volunteers – you could be one of them! Cooks are invited to prepare turkey or side dish. Sign up as a guest, cook, or volunteer with Bill and Judith Mussatto at 626-3777.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

The Annual Claremont Interfaith Thanksgiving Service Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. will be hosted at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 435 Berkeley Ave. Everyone is invited to join this event highlighting youth in our community. “This national holiday provides a unique opportunity for people of many different religious traditions to join together in humility and joy to express in a variety of ways our common gratitude for the gifts of life and for our religious freedom,” says the Claremont Interfaith Council.

2015 Stewardship Renewal

We are God's building! This theme for our Stewardship Renewal is based on the First Letter to the Corinthians. We are the Church built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. This Church stands as a shelter for all and a beacon of hope for the world. Each one of us, as a disciple of Jesus, is a temple of the Holy Spirit who builds up God's Kingdom with our unique gifts. Our Annual Stewardship
Renewal calls forth those gifts of time, talent and treasure.

More about OLA's website...

Our beautiful website is a gift to the parish from Cyberstrategies, Inc., and parishioner Bill Mussatto who collaborated with our staff and other OLA folks on its design. Here's our story. We also invite you to tell us what you think, and make suggestions for improvement. Click here for a Site Map to find your way around.
