Men's Fellowship to reconvene for planning
We, the men of OLA, say it’s time to step up and be counted. We must be all the things we want our parish to be first. A couple of weeks ago, a small band of brothers got together to talk about what it is the men of our parish want/need. First and foremost was getting to know each other. We need “guy time” time when men can get together and catch up, talk sports, politics, religion, take in a game, see a guy flick, hear a good speaker, help someone build something, hang out, have breakfast, go for a ride, and begin to establish the feeling that it’s cool to be a Catholic Man. We call this Fellowship. If this sounds like something you have been looking for, or heck, just sounds fun, then join us on Wednesday, May 15, at 7 p.m. to help continue to talk about what it is the men of OLA would like to do. Registration and Testing for OLA School
Applications for new students are now being accepted at OLA School for 2013-2014. Testing for all grades begins in February. Call any time for more information or to arrange a personal tour at (909) 626-7135. Inquire about our pre-kindergarten class for four-year-olds, or learn why OLA graduates are top performers on high school entrance exams. Our school has been a proud tradition of excellence since 1955.
OLA Summer School
A summer school option will again be available this summer at OLA School to all students entering Grades K-7. Academic instruction in Reading, Writing, and Math will be offered, including Algebra Review for Grades 6-7 and Study Skills for Grades 4-7. Session I runs June 24 to July 5 ; Session II runs July 8-19. Each class is $100 per student; also required is non-refundable registration of $50. OLA Summer Camp
For the ultimate summer day camp experience, look no further! At OLA Summer Day Camp, June 24 through July 26, kids ages 4 to 12 years will be slipping down water slides, riding ponies, acting and dancing on stage, creating works of art, concocting science experiments, learning what a friend we have in Jesus, planting gardens, learning to cook, and more! Unlike other programs, the fun comes to OLA’s campus. For information, call Margie Robinson at 626-3596, ext. 227. Hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and rates are available by week, day or “minimum day.”
Altar server Training
Training for new altar servers is scheduled for Fridays, May 17, and May 24, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Only one session is required and a parent or guardian must be present. Applications may be found on the Welcome Cart and in the parish office. Please return form to the parish office no later than the deadline: Wednesday, May 15. Join our Christian Initiation (RCIA) for adults
The RCIA, which stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is a process through
which non-baptized men and women and baptized Christians prepare for full membership in the Catholic Church. RCIA includes several stages marked by study, prayer and rites at Mass. All participants journey together on a process of conversion as they study the Gospel, profess faith in Jesus and the Catholic Church, and receive the sacraments. New members are welcome at any time! Everyone in the RICA is on an individual journey – a journey of faith we take together. Some have never been baptized. They are seeking the waters of baptism and full membership in the Catholic Church. Others were baptized in another Christian faith and are seeking to join the Catholic Church and participate fully in the sacraments and life of the Church. Some were baptized in the Catholic Church earlier in life, but never received First Communion or Confirmation. They are seeking to receive these Sacraments of Initiation and to participate fully in the Catholic faith community.

Fiesta Committee needs help
Help is needed in the distribution of Fiesta raffle tickets the weekend of March 16-17. If you’d be willing to take a shift on the patio, please leave a message at 626-3596, ext. 319. OLA School parents can earn service hours for this year. Fiesta is a 66-year tradition that invites the greater community into our circle of friendship. This weekend of entertainment, international food booths, family games and big carnival rides is set for May 10, 11 and 12. Natural Family Planning Class
A certified teacher of the Billings Ovulation Method of fertility regulation is offering introductory classes in English and Spanish on Sunday, Sept. 9, at OLA. in Room 5A (No. 15). The one-hour class is open to both married and engaged couples. Spanish session is at 2:30 p.m. and the English is at 4 p.m.

Fair Trade coffee sales
OLA's Fair Trade ministry offers Fair Trade coffee and chocolate on the patio once a month on the second Sundays after the morning Masses at 7, 9, 11 a.m., and also after the Spanish-language Mass at 1:00 p.m. The cost of the coffee is currently $9.00 per one-pound package, which is competitive with other quality coffees.
