Objectives of the Program
To promote Christian action and Patriotism. To cultivate a greater love for our Blessed Mother. To assist the Knights of Columbus with their activities creating a bond of comradeship and shared charity. To give spiritual aid and assistance to members and the world community in illness and bereavement. We engage in charitable actions that benefit deserving charities as well as Our Lady of the Assumption Parish.
We serve with faith, fellowship and fun!
Besides our three main fundraisers, we serve the community of Our Lady of the Assumption in many ways: Rosaries, family Masses and breakfasts, dinners before meetings, donut sales, donations to the parish school, monetary support of our priests and seminarians. We have fun too with picnics, Christmas parties and all around good time of faith, fun, and action.
The Council meets on the first Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
An elegant afternoon of tea and fine food. This fundraiser brings women of all ages together to share stories, laughter and music. This popular event sells out each year and has been designated for the School of Fashion and Design which helps mentally challenged adults produce articles of fashion.
One of our newest events, an evening of authentic German food and beverages paired with live entertainment brings a night you won’t soon forget. Good friends, good food and good times is the theme for this exciting event.
4th of July
Each year the city of Claremont hosts a community festival on the 4th of July. The Ladies join in the celebration by hosting a fabulous hot dog booth. Our hot dogs are the best and are a community favorite. We combine great quality food and lots of laughter to create one of the most exciting booths in Memorial Park
