Meditation Garden at OLA
You are invited to enjoy the meditation garden in full bloom outside the entrance to OLA School on Bonita Avenue. Its centerpiece is the statue of Our Lady of the Assumption commissioned by David Rodriguez, the same artist who first produced an identical statue for our church. This beautiful representation of Mary, which faces the public sidewalk and street, attracts a lot of attention each day. Devotees bring flowers in vases or pots, pause for a quick prayer, or linger to pray after driving through for Communion. An older gentleman comes regularly to gently wash the statue which has been repainted. The garden includes concrete benches and stepping stones which form a Rosary Walk.
