Prayer Warriors

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Persevere in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
(Colossians 4:2)

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you... How much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him?
(Matthew 7:7, 11)

Prayer Warriors gather in the sanctuary of the church (beneath the crucifix) to pray weekly on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome!

This is an intercessary  prayer community in the parish challenged by the Gospel command to gather apart and pray for the needs of our society, our Church, our parish, and personal needs. This group is inspired by the promise of Jesus Christ that "where two or more are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."  It was established at OLA in 1996 and is affiliated with the Southern California Renewal Communities (SCRC). Its spiritual advisor is Fr. Michael Barry, SS.CC. The group gathers every Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. in church to pray. The group takes up the needs written in the Parish Book of Intercessions. Please check the parish bulletin for the weekly schedule.
