OLA for Life
This ministry is over 30 years old at OLA. This group is dedicated to the protection of human life from conception to natural death, according to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
We sponsor an information table on the patio the last Sunday of the month with current news about local and national issues, programs, and events. OLA for Life helps organize participation in the annual OneLifeLA march and festival. We also support a local pregnancy counseling center, Assure Pregnancy Counseling Center in Fontana, and other local pro-life agencies, with an annual baby shower collection.
We collaborate with other pro-life ministries in the community for special events such as 40 Days for Life (see above), and meets quarterly with pro-life ministries in the Los Angeles and San Bernardino dioceses (called Alliance meetings).

Our Catholic faith calls us to participate in our communities. That same faith calls us to protect life, and to promote dignity and respect for all human beings from conception to natural death. In Faithful Citizenship, the U.S. Bishops challenge us to be more involved: "In the Catholic Tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue; participation in the political process is a moral obligation."
In response, the Bishops of California have established the Catholic Legislative Network to help us be better informed about state and national policy issues and make it easier for us to become more engaged in the political process. Parishioners are encouraged to register.
The Catholic Legislative Network provides a brief, yet thorough, weekly e-newsletter called Public Policy Insights, in which network members learn about issues and actions being taken on certain priority issues.
